With 53 years’ experience in contract mining, ranging from vertical and decline shaft sinking with all associated development, civil as well as electrical and mechanical construction, inclusive of equipping of shaft infrastructure, conventional mining, mechanized development, low and ultra-low profile mechanized mining.
Eddie has a successful track record and has been involved in various international projects, executing sinking and mechanized mining in locations such as the Philippines, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and India.
Eddie has served in various capacities with contracting companies, including Mine Overseer, Project Overseer, Master Sinker, Site Manager, Tender Site Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Manager, and Operations Executive.
His professional licenses include Landmark Education Business Development; Project Management (Project Management Professional PMBOK®), Construction/Mining Estimating and Valuations (Software Solutions for Construction Industry), and Computer Proficiency – Dexterous computer training received.

Through his blossoming career, Arabang’s leadership is grounded in a hands-on approach to problem-solving, ensuring that projects align with legal and other requirements to enhance customer satisfaction while continuously improving quality and operational excellence. Extensive track record was accomplished over a professional career extended to over 23 years in mining and its accompanying engineering structures including in SHEQ and its integrated system.
In his career, Arabang has been very influential in establishing, implementing and maintaining Integrated Management System (IMS) in various capacities with contracting companies. Arabang has graduated through the ranks from being a Full Time Safety Representative to being a Safety Manager and now a Project Manager.
Arabang has worked for major mining companies such as Royal Bafokeng Platinum (now under new ownership), AECI Mining Explosives (Assmang Khumani Iron Ore Mine, Tharisa Minerals, Bakubung including large SMME companies conducting their business in the mining sectors such as Samancor Western Chrome Mines, Glencore Western Chrome Mines, Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine, Anglo Platinum Mine and Bushveld Vametco.
